Bishop and Maras teamed up once again to take the crown at the Metrostav Prague Indoor Cup, where they defeated Ladislava Porizkova and Elizabeth Williams 6-0, 7-5. Bishop also capped off another successful week by finishing runner-up in the singles event, where she just missed out to Maras in a 7-6(1). 6-1 loss.
From there, the British, French pair went on to defeat Zeliha Aksak and Giulla Valdo 6-1, 6-0 to lift the doubles title while Bishop also finished runner-up to her doubles partner Maras in a tight three-set match ending 1-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Continuing her excellent run of form, Bishop went on to finish runner up in the doubles event at the BNP Paribas Yvelines tournament. Competing alongside Chiyo Sasakai, the British, Japanese duo just missed out on the silverware to Ksenia Chasteau and Pauline Deroulede, 6-0, 6-2.
September
The young Brit was crowned Plock Open IV doubles champion alonside French star Zoe Maras - defeating Ellie Roberston and Louise Charlotte Willerslev-Olsen in the final 3-6, 6-2, 10-6. Bishop made the singles final but was forced to retire against Maras.
August
Bishop once again joined forces with Breakwell for the Nottingham Futures doubles event where the pair stormed to the silverware. The all-British pair beat Lucy Folland and Yuma Takamuro 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the doubles title and their second of the season.
April
Bishop had a week to remember at the Lithuania Open where she picked up both the singles and doubles titles. The young Brit won her second women's singles title in a battle of the Brits against Martha Harris 6-1, 6-2, before joining forces with Harris to clinch the doubles crown.
Bishop then teamed up with fellow Brit Abbie Breakwell for the doubles event at the Plock Orlen. The all-British duo stormed to a 6-0, 6-0 victory in an emphatic performance against Critstina Deac and Iucyna Mietrkiewicz to lift the trophy.
October
Bishop had double delight at the Plock Cup II in Poland after winning both the women’s singles and doubles draws. This marked the 18-year-old’s fourth singles and third doubles title of the season.
Bishop welcomed more success at the Plock II Open in Poland after her and partner, Bulgaria’s Zoya Chavdarova, defeated Latvian duo Diana Nikiforova and Zanete Vasaraudze-Gailite 6-0, 6-4 to win the doubles event.
She then proceeded to progress to the semi-finals of the wheelchair women’s singles draw at the Abingdon Wheelchair Tennis Tournament after defeating fellow Brit Fay Dutfield-Horton in the quarter-finals. However, she would eventually exit the tournament after losing 6-3, 6-3 to compatriot, Abbie Breakwell.
July
Bishop reached the semi-finals of both the singles at the Nottingham Futures - losing out to top seed Zoe Maras 6-1, 6-2. Her and fellow Brit Ellie Robertson also finished runners-up in the women's doubles to Abbie Breakwell and Maras.
March
Reached the women’s singles second round and the women’s doubles quarter-finals at the Megasaray Open ITF Futures tournament in Turkey.
February
Won the girls’ singles title at the Bolton Indoor ITF Junior Series. In the senior ITF 2 Bolton Indoor draw Ruby put up an impressive performance against top 20 player Maria Florencia Moreno before bowing out in three sets in their first round women’s singles match.
January
Began 2022 at a career best No.3 in the ITF Junior World Rankings and travelled to France, where Ruby expected to maker her debut at the Junior Masters. Unfortunately her participation was ruled out after testing positive for coronavirus.
Won the British Open Junior girls’ singles title and junior mixed doubles title with Ben Bartram in July 2021.
