Tennis beginnings
Loffhagen started playing tennis at the age of five at Ealing Lawn Tennis Club. He used to hit with his Dad while his sisters were having tennis lessons at the club. An eager sportsman from a young age, Loffhagen was also a keen rugby player and played up until the age of 11.

Loffhagen returned to winning ways in August, when he lifted his third ITF title of the year in Roehampton. The 22-year-old breezed through to the final where he eventually overcame compatriot Luke Simkiss 6-2, 6-2 to wrap up the title without dropping a set.

Loffhagen lost to the world No.6, Denmark’s Holger Rune, 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-2 upon his maiden appearance at The Championships, Wimbledon.
June
Loffhagen made a breakthrough during the start of the grass court season when he claimed his first ATP Challenger win at the Rothesay Open Nottingham, before going on to reach the quarter-finals.
Here, he played fifth seed Dominic Koepfer but unfortunately missed out on a spot in the semis after a narrow 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 loss.
Loffhagen was awarded a wildcard for the Rothesay International Eastbourne where he pushed the world No.75 to three sets in the opening round, eventually losing 2-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(4).
Loffhagen was rewarded with a wild card into the main draw of Wimbledon.

Continuing to build on the success from the previous month, Loffhagen claimed his second career title on home soil at the M25 Nottingham after securing a 7-6(5), 6-2 victory over France’s Jules Marie in the final.

George Loffhagen won the first ITF title of his professional career at the M25 Mysuru.
Entering the tournament as the 10th seed, Loffhagen breezed through to the final where he faced Australia's Blake Ellis. Despite conceding the first set, Loffhagen showed grit and determination to clinch the second and eventually wrap up the title in a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6(4) victory.
