The Mission of North Georgia Chess Center is to provide a comfortable, safe and reliable place for your chess entertainment. Our goal is to build the chess community as a whole in the North Georgia area.

As I have become more established in North Georgia in my coaching endeavors. My main goal is to provide the best instruction to young players with the knowledge I have and to instill in them the potential I feel each of them has. As my ability to accommodate the large number of requests for my instruction as a private teacher increased I had no space or room to grow the chess community if I continued on the path I was going. Most of my clients told me often that they wish there was a nice place for the kids to come and play that was not so far away. I kept this in mind as I grew beyond my capacity and I was forced to acquire a building to hold all these requests for my services. The services I can offer with this building that I could not before is: more tournaments, close proximity, cost effective lessons and a great environment for both kids and adults.

Our goal is to help build the chess community as a whole to grow the numbers of up and coming chess players in the entire state. We see this center as the community's center not just ours. We hope that if you or your child(ren) enjoy the game of chess that you will consider coming to the Center for a tour.
